about me

I am a creative technologist based in South Devon, with a background in theatre from Falmouth University, currently on a practice research PhD on immersive technologies in live performance. I specialise in interactive art installations and integrating technology into live performance.

My PhD research investigates the role of the creative technologist and technological systems within live performance, focusing on how humans are situated inside and alongside the technologies that shape immersive, collective experiences.

My work uses technology to shape storytelling and liveness, often embracing glitches, failures and infrastructural seams as material, in order to heighten togetherness and open up critical, environmental and political narratives.

This has led me to collaborate with artists, musicians and organisations including Karen Palmer, Royal Opera House, Common Wealth Theatre Company, Jack Dean Theatre Company, SPUDworks, the National Trust, Plymouth and Exeter Universities, Prosthetic Head, Sam Walker, Barbican Theatre and RED DOG Theatre Company.

My objective is to push at the role of the creative technologist itself, crafting immersive experiences that connect digital and physical space while making the labour, ethics and power of technology visible within performance.
